Anticipation for the final season of Stranger Things has led fans to rewatch prior seasons, boosting the Netflix series to the top spot on Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart for the week of November 10.
Stranger Things racked up 1.345 billion viewing minutes as viewers played catch-up, suggesting big numbers are expected for the show’s return to Netflix on Nov 26.
According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, only two titles crossed the billion viewing minutes mark, with Netflix and Hulu dominating the chart with five and four titles, respectively, each with two titles sharing distribution rights.
Netflix’s Frankenstein dropped to second place with 1.107 billion minutes viewed. It was followed by another Netflix title, The Beast in Me, with the miniseries debuting with 952 million viewing minutes.
Peacock entered the chart with the premiere of the thriller series All Her Fault, accounting for 867 million minutes viewed. Closing out the top five was the Netflix and Hulu shared title Grey’s Anatomy, which had 853 million viewing minutes for the week of November 10.
The bottom half of the chart was led by NCIS shared between Hulu, Netflix, Pluto, and Paramount+, with 762 million viewing minutes. Dropping to seventh from sixth is Disney+’s Bluey with 759 million minutes viewed.
The classic series Gunsmoke made its way into the chart at No. 8 with 757 million viewing minutes across Paramount+, Peacock, and Pluto.
Hulu’s Bob’s Burgers fell to ninth from seventh place with 713 million minutes viewed, and the final spot went to another Hulu title, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, with 651 million viewing minutes.
