Stephen Stock will join New Orleans Fox affiliate WVUE as chief investigative reporter.
“Stephen has a proven track record of uncovering impactful stories and a steadfast commitment to truth and transparency,” said WVUE-FOX 8 news director Kristen Palestina. “His investigative journalism will strengthen WVUE’s dedication to deliver the in-depth reporting our community deserves.”
Since 2003, Stock helped establish and lead investigative teams in Orlando, Miami and San Francisco. He last worked as national investigative correspondent for CBS News and Stations.
“I’m honored and thrilled to join such a legacy station and team where journalistic excellence is the standard and holding the powerful accountable is what we do,” said Stock. “WVUE and Gray Media stand out in the entire industry with their commitment to telling meaningful stories that change lives, laws, and policies while improving the communities where we work and live. I’m humbled I’ve been asked to be part of that legacy and can’t wait to join such a stellar team.”
He’ll make his debut on Fox 8 in January.
“We couldn’t be prouder to have Stephen Stock as our new Chief Investigative Reporter,” said WVUE-Fox 8 vice president and general manager Mikel Schaefer. “Stephen is one of the most talented and credible journalists in this country. His body of investigative work is filled with impactful and relevant stories which are second to none. We are thrilled he will bring his experience and skill to New Orleans.”
