WANF anchor Shon Gables is out at the Atlanta station.
“Anchor Shon Gables is officially out in Atlanta News First after being off air and on leave for six months,” Atlanta Journal Constitution media writer Rodney Ho wrote on social media. “She appeared to leave on good terms but didn’t provide me any specifics on why she needed to go, citing personal reasons.”
Gables had been off the air since March. She started working at the Atlanta station in 2018 after working at KTBS in Shreveport, Louisiana. She began her career at KWCH in Wichita, Kansas and has also worked at WFAA in Dallas, Texas, KWTV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, WDIV in Detroit and WCBS in New York.
