Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. has announced its unaudited consolidated operating results for January 2026, marking a historic start to the year with record-high January revenue. According to an official statement, the unaudited consolidated revenue was NT$20.41 billion (approximately £474.70 million) in the month.

Consolidated Financial Results and Earnings Summary

Key earnings include NT$4.41 billion in operating income and NT$4.42 billion in income before tax. NT$3.37 billion in net income attributable to the stockholders of the parent company, and an EBITDA of NT$7.80 billion. Earnings per share (EPS) for the period was NT$0.43

Chunghwa Telecom highlighted a 12.2% year-over-year increase in total revenue, reaching a record high for the same period, primarily driven by robust ICT business growth, higher mobile device sales, and solid contributions from subsidiaries, demonstrating a strong start to 2026.

ICT revenue surged by over 50% year-over-year, driven by the completion of the government taxation system project, IDC data centre construction, and smart surveillance and smart energy projects. Consequently, revenues from IDC and cloud services, AIoT, and cybersecurity services all achieved double-digit year-over-year growth. The Company highlighted its strong capabilities in platform deployment, system operations and maintenance, cybersecurity, and IoT network architecture and design—highly recognised by enterprise customers—as key drivers of ICT revenue growth.

Fixed Broadband and Mobile Service Performance

Fuelled by the accelerating digital transformation trend, fixed broadband revenue rose 3.0% year-over-year. This growth was anchored by a 13.4% surge in subscribers opting for 300 Mbps or higher packages, signaling a clear market shift toward premium connectivity. Simultaneously, mobile service revenue climbed 3.1%, bolstered by steady 5G adoption and a robust recovery in roaming traffic, which together drove consistent gains in postpaid and mobile data earnings

Mobile service revenue also rose 3.1%, supported by continued growth in 5G subscribers and sustained recovery in roaming services, driving steady increases in mobile postpaid and mobile data revenues.
