Dias joins former GE CMO, Linda Boff, and Hinge CMO-turned-CMO Jackie Jantos in ascending to the CEO position.
While such promotions defined much of 2024 and 2025, momentum has been slower in 2026, with some marketers saying gaps in experience and leadership are holding them back from the corner office.
However, Dias believes CMOs are more prepared for the CEO role than they think.
“A good, strong CMO is focused on growing business outcomes, thinking about brand architecture, the levers they can pull, and collaborating across the organization,” she said. “In my career, I’ve studied different areas of the business and been comfortable in tech and digital, so stepping into this leadership position has felt more natural than I expected.”
