Grace Gummer (The Newsroom) has joined Dakota Fanning (All Her Fault) in an untitled thriller series created by Alex Cary. Here are the details.
Mystery project adds Grace Gummer
As reported by Deadline, Grace Gummer, who’s the daughter of Meryl Streep (The Post) has joined an upcoming untitled Apple TV thriller series, where she’ll star alongside Dakota Fanning. The show’s confirmed cast so far also includes Stellan Skarsgård (Dune), and Daryl McCormack (Twisters).
Interestingly, Fanning will co-produce the series alongside her sister, Elle Fanning, who recently starred in the first season of Margo’s Got Money Troubles, also on Apple TV. Other co-producers include Brittany Kahan Ward (The Great), Julie Gardner (Lady In The Lake), and Kari Skogland (Smoke), who will also direct.
According to Apple TV, “Fanning will star as an undercover Treasury agent in a multibillion-dollar international conglomerate with world-changing political and criminal tentacles, who becomes conflicted between her mission and a belief that her principal target, the heir apparent to all that corrupt power, is at his core a good man and worthy of her love.”
Deadline says “Gummer will play the series regular role of Juliana, the oldest child of Stellan Skarsgård’s Brant, who heads up the conglomerate.”
This untitled thriller series is the newest collaboration between Apple TV and Sony Pictures Television, after For All Mankind, Star City, Black Bird, The Afterparty, Platonic, Pluribus, and Dark Matter.
No additional cast members or premiere date have been announced, though the series’ title is expected to be revealed soon.
Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month and features hit TV shows and movies like Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show, Shrinking and Silo.
