Dave Griek will join News Channel Nebraska as evening anchor next week.

“I am honored to continue my career as evening anchor with News Channel Nebraska,” Griek said. “This state is full of wonderful people, and I sincerely thank everyone who has allowed me into their homes, and given me their trust over the last 15 years.”

Griek started his Nebraska television career as the Sports Director at NTV. After 12 years, he switched to news.

NCN said Griek will now broadcast to the entire state through News Channel Nebraska, a network of statewide channels that reach 500,000 homes.

“Dave Griek is the perfect fit to lead our evening newscasts on News Channel Nebraska,” CEO Andy Ruback said. “Our network prides itself on serving audiences across the state through detailed news coverage and active participation in the community. Nobody is better equipped to advance this mission than Dave. NCN continues to be committed to Nebraska and this further demonstrates our investment in the state.”

“When News Channel Nebraska approached me about a job opportunity, it was better than I could have imagined,” Griek said. “Not only do I get to stay in Kearney, we can reach the entire state on NCN.”
