  • For example, if you have researched the RAM and the processor along with the company, then you can get a good deal on a used tablet.
  • So in this article, I will be sharing with you why you should never opt for a tablet that is under 5000 bucks.
  • If you are getting a used tablet from brands like Samsung or Apple then there are hardly any disadvantages, but make sure you check the physical condition of the device before buying.

The allure of buying a tablet for under 5,000 can be tempting, but it’s the worst investment you can make. We all like deals and discounts, but this deal is not a good one. You will be frustrated with the tablet you buy, mainly because all the hardware will be outdated. You will get an old IPS LCD display, which will be bad in terms of colour saturation and response rate. So in this article, I will be sharing with you why you should never opt for a tablet that is under 5000 bucks.

Why You should not Buy Android Tablet Under 5000

Don’t Spend Rs 5000 on a Cheap Tablet

If you’re spending 5,000, then you should get at least a product worth that face value. If the manufacturer is offering you such a low price, then they are likely skimping on quality, especially in major components like RAM and the processor. If you have a slow processor and basic RAM, say 2GB, the performance of your tablet will not be great. You will notice lag while switching between apps and slow loading of webpages. This will ruin your user experience. Multitasking is only on paper; if you do multitasking, you will have to wait for the screen to unfreeze after a couple of attempts. This will result in zero productivity.

The Display Matters The Most on a Tablet

Now, in a budget device, the first compromise is made on displays. There will be a low-resolution panel used with no colour accuracy. This will make your multimedia streaming experience unbearable. If you are going to use such tablets in daylight, you might not get proper visibility. The next thing to look for is the RAM; in today’s world, 8GB of RAM is standard in most smart devices. In these tablets, if you have 1GB or 2GB of RAM, you will not be able to perform basic tasks smoothly. There will be app crashes and a very unstable user experience.

Tablets under 5000

Next is the internal storage, in Rs 5000, you can only get a maximum of 16GB of internal space, or even less. Once we deduct the space taken for operating software and pre-installed apps, you will get very little space for your own apps and media files. If you are thinking of getting a MicroSD card, then let me tell you there is a high probability that it might affect its performance. Furthermore, these budget laptops will not have a software experience. They will run on the older versions of Android with no promise of future updates. Since it is a very cheap tablet, there will be bloatware, some of which you can remove, but some of it you can not. So overall, not a good deal.

FAQs

Q. What is the disadvantage of buying a second-hand tablet?

There are not many disadvantages, provided you purchase a decent tablet. For example, if you have researched the RAM and the processor along with the company, then you can get a good deal on a used tablet. If you are getting a used tablet from brands like Samsung or Apple then there are hardly any disadvantages, but make sure you check the physical condition of the device before buying.

Q. Should i buy a tablet which is selling for Rs 6000?

If you are getting a new tablet for Rs. 6000, then make sure you check the tablet specs sheet. At the same time, you check the reviews online and then invest. Tablets under 5000 are hardly good. If you are sure of buying a tablet, save and buy a decent tablet from a reputable brand.

Wrapping Up

Any tablet under the price tag og Rs 5000 might seem a decent deal, but in reality, it is a terrible deal. The compromises in both hardware and software will ruin your experience so much that you’ll be infuriated. So instead of buying a cheap tablet, you can save money or get a second-hand tablet from a reputable brand. This will not only give you a decent experience but will also be affordable and better.
