A new month is upon us, and as with any May when it comes to Lego, the theme of the month is Star Wars, as the brick-builder gets ready to drop a swath of new sets to celebrate May 4 this weekend. But while Star Wars is definitely in the spotlight this month, there’s a few more notable releases coming too.
Lego’s already given us a good tease of what to expect from the galaxy far, far away ahead of Star Wars day, with releases from across the saga, anchored in the latest Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series entrant in the form of Jango Fett’s starship. But like we said, those wars in the stars aren’t the only things shining brightly for Lego in May: its latest Nintendo collaboration celebrates Mario Kart in style this month, Avengers: Endgame comes back for round two in the Marvel line, and there’s even few more artsy extras to boot. Here’s the rundown on the must-have sets of the month!
We’ve already covered what to expect from Lego’s Star Wars day celebrations this weekend, when nine brand new sets drop just in time for Lego’s annual celebration and themed Gift-With-Purchase campaigns. This year, any purchase of the UCS Jango Fett’s Starship will nab you a themed keychain, but beyond that, there’s two extra bonuses tied to purchase amounts: spending $160 or more on any Lego Star Wars sets (new or otherwise) directly from Lego will net you the exclusive Kamino Training Facility polybag, featuring three Clone cadets and a small set of Kamino-themed builds, while purchases of $40 or more will get you a new minibuild polybag of the Millennium Falcon. Lego Star Wars Brickheadz Luke Skywalker and Revenge of the Sith Heroes & Villains
Lego’s chibi line of buildable characters gets a prequels and original trilogy infusion, with a new Luke inspired by his pilot suit appearance in A New Hope, and a special five-figure set celebrating Revenge of the Sith‘s 20th anniversary.
Lego Star Wars Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle
The latest entry in the ship mini-display series whisks us to the opening moments of The Force Awakens, and Kylo Ren’s sleek shuttle. ($70, available here)
Lego Star Wars Chopper Astromech Droid
The Rebels and Ahsoka legend is the latest in the Star Wars scaled droid line, and everyone’s most beloved tinpot malcontent comes with a bunch of cute features—and, of course, an even-teenier Chopper minifigure to sit on the display base. ($100, available here)
Lego Star Wars Kylo Ren and Jango Fett Helmets
The buildable helmet display line continues with the theme of the month, offering the masked visages of both Kylo Ren and Jango Fett—perfect to sit next to their new ship sets!
Lego Star Wars Rebel U-Wing Starfighter
Lego bids farewell to Andor with the first U-Wing model since the Rogue One line. Less pieces this time around, but it does add a Lego Dedra Meero to your shelf, and that’s not nothing. ($70, available here)
Lego Star Wars Brick-Built Star Wars Logo
After doing something similar for Marvel last month, Lego turns the iconic Star Wars title card into a funky display piece. Unlike the Marvel logo set, there’s no included minifigures here, but let’s be real: the Star Wars logo is infinitely cooler regardless. ($60, available here)
Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Jango Fett’s Starship
The latest crowning glory in the Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series line, Lego’s latest crack at the legendary Firespray owned by the Fett family takes inspiration from Jango, rather than Boba this time, and includes minifigures of both father and son to sit in its cockpit. ($300, available here)

Lego Mario Kart Mario and Standard Kart
After evolving the Lego Mario line with a new set of kart-racing-themed sets, Lego turns back to its adults-focused Nintendo sets with a special Mario Kart replica, complete with a stand that lets you tilt Mario and his ride as if they’re drifting around a corner. ($170, available here from 5/15)
Lego Botanicals Petite Sunny Bouquet
Spring is here, but Lego’s flower series is forever! This latest bouquet brings together buildable bluebells, pink gerberas, tulips, and more. ($30, available here)
Lego Marvel Superheroes Avengers: Endgame Final Battle
