This week brought us our best look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung’s top-tier flagship for 2025 will ditch the sharp edges of its predecessor in favor of a more rounded shell.

The display appears to have rounded corners, too. The back houses a familiar camera arrangement with four shooters housed inside their own ring. The new leaks also gave us a sneak peek at One UI 7.0, which has redesigned icons, a control center, and a camera app UI.

It also appeared on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Huawei held a big launch event this week, which saw the debut of the Mate70 series. The lineup consists of four devices – the Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and the top-tier Mate 70 RS Ultimate.

All four new Mates feature LTPO OLEDs with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The RS Ultimate gets a fancier dual-layer OLED with 3,500 nits peak brightness.

All four devices share 50MP RYYB main sensors with a 24mm variable f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture lens and 40MP ultrawide modules. The new Huawei flagships also get a new spectral imaging sensor that gathers more color data, which should translate to improved color accuracy, natural skin tones and better shadow preservation. The Pros and RS Ultimate pack 48MP periscopes (3.5x zoom), while the vanilla makes do with a 12MP periscope (5x zoom).

In usual Huawei fashion, there are no official details on the chipsets inside the new devices. Per speculation, Mate 70 uses the Kirin 9010 while the two Pros and RS Ultimate are allegedly rocking the all-new Kirin 9020. Mate 70 starts at CNY 5,499 ($757), Mate 70 Pro+ is going for CNY 6,499 ($895). Mate 70 Pro+ starts at CNY 8,499 ($1,173), while the RS Ultimate is CNY 11,999 ($1,656).

Huawei Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro announced

Both phones feature Huawei’s new Red Maple spectral imaging sensor and variable apertures on the main 50MP cameras.

Huawei was secretive about the chipsets inside the new models, saying only that they are 40% faster.

Xiaomi unveiled its Redmi K80 series, which consists of the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro. Both pack 6.67” OLED displays with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The vanilla model uses last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip while the Pro gets the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite.

There’s a 50MP OmniVision OVX8000 main cam on both, while the K80 Pro gets a fancier 50MP telephoto lens and a 32MP ultrawide module. Both phones are outfitted with large silicon carbon batteries and boot HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

Redmi K80 Pro arrives with SD 8 Elite, 6,000mAh battery and an IP68 rating

An overall upgrade in terms of performance and endurance compared to the K70 Pro from last year. And there is a Lamborghini special edition.

The affordable Redmi K80 is equipped with an SD 8 Gen 3 and a massive 6,550 mAh battery

The phone also has an IP68 rating and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the beautiful 6.67″ 12-bit display, but is one camera short compared to the K80 Pro.

Redmi K80 starts at CNY 2,500 ($345,) while the K80 Pro is going for CNY 3,700 ($510). Chinese buyers can also spring out CNY 4,999 ($690) for the K80 Pro Lamborghini Squadra Corse special edition.

Nothing Phone (3) appears on Geekbench

It’s equipped with a midrange Snapdragon chipset.
