Right now Best Buy is offering the Creality Hi 3D printer combo for just $300. That saves you a massive $150. Bear in mind that this Best Buy deal is only available today. Though it’s an excellent find, we’ve also spotted the Flashforge ADX5 multicolor 3D printer for $339 at Amazon, down from $409. Though it’s $39 more than the Creality Hi 3D, it’s also an excellent deal when you compare specs.

Regardless of which 3D printer you go for, it’s best to act fast. Both Amazon and Best Buy’s deals are notorious for selling out quickly.

The Creality Hi 3D printer combo is suitable for anyone trying their hand at 3D printing for the first time. It arrives 95% preassembled and includes a camera with a privacy cap. The Creality Hi 3D printer operates at low volume, so you can focus on other tasks while you wait for your prints.

The Flashforge ADX5 includes support for up to four colors at the same time and prints at up to 600mm per second — perfect for batch projects.

CNET’s James Bricknell is an expert on 3D printers. He says of these two options: “The Creality Hi is an OK printer. It’s good for beginners and will get you started. It isn’t the best, though, and can suffer a little in print quality. The Flashforge AD5X is a much better starter printer, and it’s also on sale, making it just $39 more than the Hi. The CoreXY system is much more stable than the bedslinger-style Hi and produces a much better-quality print. If it were my money, I would go for the Flashforge”

Of note, the Flashforge ADM5 3D printer is also on sale for $239 at Amazon, down from its regular price of $309. It offers similar features to the ADX5, but has a smaller surface area and no multicolor system.

Looking for a new 3D printer but not sure if these deals are quite for you? We’ve got a list of the best 3D printers with more options.

3D PRINTER DEALS OF THE WEEK

Deals are selected by the CNET Group commerce team, and may be unrelated to this article.

Why these deals matter

Best Buy’s deal on the Creality Hi 3D is a better fit for people who are experimenting with 3D printing for the first time. If this printer interests you, it’s best to act fast, as this discount is only available until the end of today. However, the Flashforge ADX5 offers more stability and speedier performance. Though it’s $39 more, the overall feature set makes this a better option for both new and more advanced artists.
