In celebration of the upcoming Black Friday and pre-holiday season, Apple is offering a new limited-time promotional deal on its popular Apple TV streaming service in the United States. From today, November 21 through until December 1 at 8pm PT, the company is offering new and qualified returning subscribers access to the streamer for $6 per month for a total of six months.
Normally, a standard Apple TV subscription costs $13 per month, making this Black Friday sale a more than 50 percent discount on the service. After the six-month discount period is over, users who sign up for this plan will be automatically renewed at the standard $13 per month until manually canceled.
Looking at the fine print, this new Apple TV deal appears to come with fairly broad eligibility; all new first-time subscribers, as well as most existing subscribers who have previously canceled their access to the service, can sign up at the temporarily reduced rate. There are a couple caveats, however: anyone with existing eligibility for three months of free Apple TV can’t accept this offer, and the promo doesn’t include access to the MLS Season Pass or any content available for rental or purchase from within the Apple TV app.
