As of yesterday, February 3, Amazon began running a Valentine’s Day promotion for the Kindle Paperwhite. To be more specific, a bundle of them; the Share the Love 2-Pack bundles two 16GB Kindle Paperwhites, one in classic Black and the other a more festive Raspberry, for a limited time.
It’s unclear how long the promotion will run, but it’s safe to assume it will end before or on Valentine’s Day itself, February 14.
Normally, two Kindle Paperwhites would cost $320 — but this deal slashes $50 off and takes that total down to $270. That’s only $135 per Paperwhite as opposed to the normal $160 asking price. The Kindle Paperwhite’s lowest price on record is $125 per device, so only $10 more is rare unless you’re shopping during a major holiday sale like Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

As the resident Kindle Paperwhite advocate here at Pocket-lint, I’ve spent countless hours researching, testing, and writing about various Kindle models and other e-readers. The Kindle Paperwhite has earned my loyalty over and over for a few simple reasons:
- A gorgeous 7-inch display that makes it easier to read than the base Kindle
- Warm light filters for late-night binge-reading
- An IPX8 rating so I can read by the pool or in the bath peacefully
- A 12-week battery life on a single charge (double that of the base Kindle)
It’s also the only Kindle with upgrades that don’t feel unnecessary. You don’t need the Colorsoft if you don’t read graphic novels, and the Signature Editions just feel like money grabs — seriously, why would you need wireless charging on a device that only needs a charge every few months?
