Motorola is launching two high-end smartphones in the near future: the X70 Air Pro in China, and the Signature globally. They are both powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, so forgive us for assuming they might actually end up being the same device sold under two different names in different markets (just like the X70 Air is the Edge 70).

Today the X70 Air Pro has been certified for sale in China by TENAA, and the listing has confirmed the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. The phone obviously supports 5G, and measures 162.1 x 76.4 x 7 mm, weighing 187g.

It has a 6.78-inch OLED screen with 1264×2780 resolution, and a battery with a rated capacity of 5,100 mAh. This will be advertised with a higher typical capacity. The X70 Air Pro will be offered with 8/12/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage.

It has three 50MP cameras on the rear, of which one is rumored to be a periscope telephoto shooter. For selfies there’s another 50MP snapper. There’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner. The X70 Air Pro is expected to launch running Android 16.
