For your own sanity’s sake, and to save you on lots of repair costs, I will need you to take a moment and buy one of these screwdrivers during Amazon’s Black Friday sale. You’re probably thinking, why is Android Central telling me to buy a screwdriver, and it’s because of your new Pixel 10. You may have bought a phone this Black Friday and I need you to get this screwdriver because Google has made it a lot easier to fix your phone.
The Hoto 24-in-1 built in mini manual screw driver set, and the Hoto 25-in-1 mini electric screwdriver set are both having massive savings on Amazon. The manual version is 30% off while the electric version is 43% off.
Both are really good if you’re going to try and fix any small part in your Pixel 10 device.
The phone specifically requires that you use a Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver bit, which is in both screwdriver sets. Matter of fact, let me make your life even simpler, you can click here and find all of the guides iFixit offers to help you fix your Pixel device.
As the Right-to-Repair movement gains traction, Google has been actively trying to help people be able to fix their devices on their own. The company partnered with iFixit to offer parts, tools and repair guides for Pixel devices in 2022. Google is well aware that it’s expensive to send your phone out to get fixed, so the company is making it easier to fix your phone on your own.
But fixing any phone is incredibly expensive, so why not make your life a little easier by buying this great deal so that you don’t have to rely on someone else to fix your phone.
And while you may need other parts, this specific screwdriver is required for removing and installing internal screws, especially the ones that are at the bottom speaker and back glass.
Take it from AC’s Jerry Hildenbrand who actively supports the ability to repair your own devices.
“[The Pixel 10 has] gotten a lot better but still not what I would call repair friendly because of the glue on the battery and display. Still, the most repairable Pixel phone yet, and worth getting a few tools if you’re handy enough to tear it open when it needs it. I would do it,” he said.
